I’ve spent more than a decade working across beauty, fashion and luxury retail, from treatment rooms, classrooms and training floors to global brand education, client experience and retail storytelling.

This portfolio brings together the professional background behind The Edit: the product knowledge, service experience, education lens and industry perspective that shape how I write about beauty, style and the details worth coming back to.

Beauty and fashion educator,
global retail trainer and editorial voice.

HAILEY SARA

- hailey sara

My work has always lived at the intersection of beauty, fashion and education, translating product, style and service into language that feels clear, grounded and genuinely useful.

My career began in beauty, in treatment rooms, salons, spas, clinics and education spaces, where credibility was built through product knowledge, trust and the everyday realities of service.

Those early years shaped how I understand beauty now: not just as an aesthetic, but as something people learn, ask questions about and build confidence through.

That practical foundation still informs everything I do today: clear explanations, real context and a point of view grounded in what people actually need to know.

where it BEGAN

Education has been the thread running through my career.

I’ve worked across product knowledge, service language, curriculum design, launch education, digital learning, retail training and team development, helping people understand not just what something is, but why it matters, how it should feel and how to communicate it with confidence.

From beauty therapists and retail specialists to store leaders and global teams, my work has always centred on making information clear, practical and memorable.

That educator’s eye now shapes everything I create: clear explanations, honest recommendations and a practical understanding of how beauty and fashion are experienced in real life.

education & training

Over time, my work moved from beauty education into retail and luxury fashion environments, where I spent more time behind the scenes of how brands are experienced.

My work has taken me through beauty, retail and fashion, including time with brands such as Mecca, Sephora, Dermalogica, Stella McCartney and LVMH.

Those environments shaped the way I think about product, service and storytelling: how something is explained, how a team brings it to life and how small details can change the way a client or customer connects with a brand.

The Edit is where I write about beauty, fashion and the details that make everyday style feel more personal. It is shaped by years spent inside beauty, retail and fashion: learning how products are explained, how service builds trust and how small details can change the way something feels.

My point of view sits between professional knowledge and personal taste: beauty that works, style that fits and advice that feels honest enough to share over coffee.

Behind every recommendation is the same lens I’ve used throughout my career: does it make sense, does it feel useful, does it respect the person receiving it and does it help make beauty or fashion feel easier to navigate?

That is the perspective behind The Edit: thoughtful, practical, industry-informed and personal.

The Edit

My approach to content is shaped by years of translating beauty, fashion and brand knowledge for real people, from retail teams and educators to clients, customers and online audiences.

I understand how to take something detailed, technical or brand-led and turn it into language that feels clear, considered and easy to connect with.

Whether I’m writing about a product, a routine, a wardrobe piece, a place or the small details that make something worth returning to, the goal is always the same: to make beauty and style feel easier to understand, easier to trust and more personal.

That is where my editorial voice comes from, not just from taste, but from years of helping people understand what they are choosing, why it matters and how it fits into real life.

content &
storytelling

where it comes together

Across beauty, fashion, education and retail, my work now sits between writing, training, product storytelling and communication.

It brings together the parts of my career that have always felt most natural: making information clearer, helping people understand what they are choosing and finding the details that make something feel useful in real life.

Whether through editorial work, education-led projects or brand storytelling, the focus is the same: turning experience into something people can understand, trust and use.
